BOMA’s 2018 Property Management Professional of the Year
The Property Management Professional of the Year award honors a property management professional who has demonstrated commitment to excellence in property management, including operational excellence and tenant satisfaction in managing BOMA Greater Minneapolis member buildings.
Brenda has been a member of BOMA Greater Minneapolis since 2002 and has been an active committee member since 2008. She has served on the Awards and Recognition Committee, as well as her current position on the Education Committee.
Brenda is a graduate of Metropolitan State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Brenda also received the Real Property Administrator designation through BOMI International in 2017.
Brenda started her career in property management when she joined the Management team at 333 South 7th Street (now SPS Commerce) in downtown Minneapolis. While working on that team, Brenda was part of achieving multiple local and regional TOBY awards as well as an International TOBY award in 2010.
Currently, Brenda works with The Excelsior Group. Her team is currently repositioning the Parkdales in St. Louis Park. This year, she will be managing over $7M in tenant improvement work at West End Center in St. Louis Park. Brenda’s nominator added, “Brenda exemplifies the best of BOMA through her tireless commitment to excellence in everything she does. Tenant satisfaction scores with Brenda’s oversight have been some of the highest in the market.”
When it comes to her community, Brenda is very involved. She actively supports many different organizations including STEP, Hearts & Hammers, Project for Pride in Living, Feed My Starving Children and Rebuilding Together. Along with these organizations, Brenda also serves on the Adams Elementary Parent Advisory Council.
